From Pounti, another staircase was leading to the flat roof called “doma”. People used to hang their washing there. They were also laying the harvests of the year (figs, grapes, almonds, olives, etc) and the traditional small tomatoes in order to be desiccated. A very special and unique characteristic of the houses in Pyrgi is that their flat roofs are connected allowing someone to take a walk to the village from roof to roof…!
