An 1 and a half meter wide door (so as people can easily pass with their baskets and bags full of harvest, fruits and straw) was the only entrance of the house. A common-wall used to divide the ground floor in two parts: the stable and the barn. A wide stone staircase on the right side of the ground floor was leading to the other floors of the house.
